  • Highest Overall Average (Grade 10)
  • Student of the Month (October 2007)
  • 1st in school-wide French Public Speaking (Grade 10)
  • 1st in Cayley Math Contest (Grade 10)
  • Grade 10: Highest Academic Average Histoire du Canada, English, French
  • Grade 9: Highest Academic Average for LFI, Literary Award for Prose, Excellence for French Immersion
  • Kiwanis Music Festival: 2 Gold Awards, 4 Silvers, and 4 Bronze (2002-2007), Achieved Honors for Grade 2 and Grade 7 Practical Piano Exams, and for preliminary, Grade 1 and Grade 2 theory exams.

 

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT / VOLUNTEER WORK 

  • Volunteer weekly with a program that teaches mentally and physically disabled children to swim.
  • Participated in Oxfam events; Hospital Bed Race for the Millennium Goals, Stand Up Against Poverty, and Demonstration for World Sanitation Day.
  • Attended MedQuest
  • Participated in Kiwanis Music Festival Annually (2002-2008)
  • In-School Awareness Campaign for Kids Help Phone (2006)
  • Volunteer at the Developmentally Delayed Unit at St.Matthews

 

WORK WITH CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS  

  • Organized the St.John's Gulu Walk (2007)
  • Coordinate the War Child Canada Club at Beaconsfield Junior High (ran cookbook, calendar, Walk Against War, ticket draw, and "Keep the Beat" project)
  • Organized fundraising for and purchase of 8 Happy Tree Gifts and two gifts for needy family in Kilbride.
  • Coordinated in-school Operation Christmas Child
  • Assistant coordinated World AIDS Day Presentation
  • Bishops College Team Captain for Run for the Cure 2007 (Participant since 2005)
  • Participated in the organization of two food drives, and a turkey fund collection (St.Vincent de Paul).
  • Acoustic Show in support of the Kirby House
